Senior Acoustic Consultant\nLocation: Manchester\nSalary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE\n\nAre you a Senior Acoustic Consultant ready to take ownership of a new regional presence?\n\nI’m working with a highly respected acoustic consultancy with established offices across the South of England. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are now looking to appoint their first Senior Acoustic Consultant in Manchester — someone who can operate autonomously, lead projects independently, and play a key role in developing the company’s footprint in the North West.\n\nThis is a rare opportunity to step into a role with responsibility and progression — not just delivering projects, but helping to shape and grow a regional team around you.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs the Senior Acoustic Consultant in Manchester, you will:\n\nLead and deliver a range of architectural and environmental acoustics projects across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments\nCarry out site surveys including noise and vibration monitoring\nProduce high-quality technical reports and environmental assessments\nUse modelling software such as CadnaA and ODEON\nLiaise directly with architects, planners, engineers and developers\nOperate independently while maintaining close collaboration with the wider southern offices\nSupport the long-term growth of the Manchester office, with scope to build and mentor a teamThis role will suit someone confident in managing their own workload and client relationships, who is motivated by the opportunity to help establish and grow a regional presence.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n4+ years’ experience within acoustic consultancy\nStrong experience in environmental noise and/or building acoustics\nDegree qualified in Acoustics or a related discipline\nMembership of the IOA (or working towards)\nProficiency in CadnaA, ODEON or similar modelling software\nSolid understanding of industry standards such as BS4142, BS8233 and BB93\nStrong communication skills and the ability to manage projects independentlyWhat’s on Offer\n\n£40,000 – £45,000 salary (DOE)\nPerformance-related bonus\nGenerous annual leave allowance\nStrong pension contribution\nPrivate medical insurance\nTIL for overtime worked\nPool cars and company credit card for expenses\nTwo paid professional memberships\nClear pathway to leadership as the Manchester team growsWhy Apply?\n\nThis is an opportunity to join a well-established consultancy with an excellent reputation for quality and technical excellence — while having the autonomy and influence of a start-up-style regional role.\n\nIf you’re a Senior Acoustic Consultant in Manchester looking for more ownership, leadership responsibility, and the chance to build something long-term, this could be a fantastic move.\n\nTo discuss confidentially, please get in touch with Charlotte Lavender at Aztrum for more information
